Yo Andre, what's up dude?
My name is Peter Chiasson and i'm currently living in Banff, AB. I am writing to you because not only do I feel that I am the biggest fan of Simon and Nomis clothing in Canada and maybe even North America for that matter, but I missed seeing Simon and Jay when they made their surprise visit to Banff and to Unlimited. It was due to the fact that my girlfriend and I had booked a room at The Fairmont Palliser as we both are employees at the Fairmont Banff Springs. Also, I am on stress leave from where I work as a Banquet Houseman for 2 weeks and this was a chance for the both of us to not only get away from Banff for a couple of days but also a chance to well, ya know be alone and together.
Now since I am like his biggest fan and was told on Tuesday that he could be making an appearance at any point that day I chose to stay close by and talk with the boys, with whom I already know quite mainly because well I go into the store just about every day to ask and see their newest Nomis gear. And I must say since last fall I have developed quite a large collection. I have over 20 hoodies, too many tees that i have lost count, 6 pairs of nomis denim, and 8 fitted caps. My girlfriend thinks I am obsessed and perhaps I am but I mean who doesn't love the colorways and designs that have come out over the summer and especially so far this fall. I've bought so much of it already and I even bought the Simon denim snowboard pant that he is wearing in the January 31st,2009 issue of Snowboard Canada with the White & Purple Plaid Jacket with the Orange writing, which btw is the jacket that i've decided I have to own and I don't know how I'm going to get it in XL Tsll but If I don't I'm not sure what i'm going to do. As of now my girlfriend has on layaway the 09 Dragon "Nomis" goggles as well as the DropxNomis V.A.C. gloves for my b-dayto match the OG hoodie I just bought the other day. which is on November 19th. On top of that I put on layaway the 09 32 Lashed snowboard boots that Simon is seen advertising in an issue of Transworld Snowboarding if I recall, now as one of the things I want for xmas. But as i just mentioned above the piece of Nomis clothing I want more than anything this holiday season is exclusively that colorway i described which is also shwon on two pages of this months issue of Snowboarder. He is wearing white Nomis pants but when I saw the pics of him wearing that jacket with the new denim pants that I just recently purchased from Unlimited in Banff, I knew I had to have it. However, since I happen to be a tall lanky almost 25 year old guy I have to somehow get that XL Tall.
Well, I know I have nearly written a small short story here but I felt that I really am the biggest and most obsessed Nomis 'freak' out there. And if this story of how much of an idol he is to me and the fact that I want to represent Nomis when I'm riding doesn't show that then I don't know what else will, LOL.
Anyway, I really wanted to know if it would at all possible for you and the Nomis team to personally hook me up with a sweet Nomis package. But if that's not okay then at least a few stickers, preferably a big one to go on the top of my board and if it's not too much to ask his personal signature? You have no idea how much I have wanted to meet him and the team ever since I first heard about Nomis which was last fall but also here in Banff and from the only store at that time that carried Nomis clothing, Mountain Magic Sportswear. I still have and remember how cool I feel when I purchased my first XLT OG Plaid hoodie. I even bought the orignal black and gold full-zip heated hoodie from their store and to this day, I still love it!
To be honest, if Nomis continues to release what I think is the sickest and most insane designs and colorways, I don't think I will evevr get sick of wearing or seeing people with it on. If only I had your job or the skills to do it. However, my girlfriend did say that I could pretty much model almost everything that has been released so far this month for the exception of the jackets, only cuz i have my heart set on that white & purple plaid.
Alright, well I think I've said all I can think of for now, LOL.
I hope you get this message because not meeting Simon in person has ruined my entire week. And to think the one day I leave he comes into town. What are the odds of that? I mean, it really wasn't what I wanted to hear when I walked into Unlimited Thursday morning just after getting back into town. Even one of the sales reps saying that the next time he sees Simon he can proudly say Simon knows him to see him and would give him a shout out.
Take it easy dude and tell Simon I bought the "Down with People" DVD when i was in Calgary and I must say his part is dope. I only wish I was as good of a rider as he is.
