"Last night at 3 am west coast time, Dwayne Carter, better known for his rap name "lil wayne," passed away after falling off the 4th story balcony at the plaza hotel in west hollywood. After finishing a show at an L.A. night club, Dwayne carter headed back to the hotel room for his after party. On lookers say that Dwayne was sitting on the edge of the railing when he lost balance and fell backwards over the edge. Police say drugs were involved. We will have an update when we hear more. Our hearts and prayers at mtv go out to the carter family, R.I.P."
